My name is Shaun Yajima. I am a PhD student at the Graduate School of Economics, University of Tokyo.

I am an economic historian with a particular interest in business and political economy in the long twentieth century. My PhD dissertation examines the business and politics of coal monopoly in Imperial Germany (ca. 1890-1920).

I am currently co-organizing (with Ryosuke Yokoe) the Political Economy Tokyo Seminar, a monthly research colloquium on social and economic history based at the University of Tokyo. Please see the following page to join or present at the seminar.
